Appearance is not mandatory at the Traffic Appeals Board hearing. A person may let their written appeal stand on its own merit or they may appear before the Board. It is optional. A $10.00 fee will be attached to all appeals that are denied.

C. Towing

The following vehicles are eligible for towing:

  • Unregistered vehicle

  • Those creating a traffic hazard or blocking other vehicles

Vehicles will be towed at the owner's expense.

D. Abandoned Vehicles

Vehicles that have been left unauthorized for a period in excess of 30 days and show no signs of being used, will be considered abandoned. The owner will be notified to remove such vehicle from the University.

Vehicles will be towed at the owner's expense.

E. Vehicle Immobilizers (Wheel locks)

Immobilizers will be used to aid in the enforcement of motor vehicle traffic rules and regulations. The wheel locks cause no damage to cars but make them immobile.

A fee of fifty ($50.00) dollars is charged for removal of the wheel lock.

All wheel lock fees must be paid in cash before the wheel lock will be removed from the vehicle.

A fine of $100.00 plus loss of parking and driving privileges on the campus for the remainder of the school year will be levied for the unauthorized removal of the wheel lock.

If fines are not paid and wheel locks removed within one (1) day, the vehicle will be towed off campus, wheel lock fines will be forwarded to the Business Office for collection, and the cost of towing will be assumed by the owner.
