The Hampton University Police Department is dedicated to ensuring that your educational and/or occupational needs are met in a safe and secure environment. Students, faculty and staff who attend and/or are employed at Hampton University enter an atmosphere that is carefully planned to meet their safety and security needs.

Although crime prevention is a primary role of the University Police, we believe that each individual is ultimately responsible for his or her own personal safety, by learning and practicing basic safety and security precautions that we emphasize here at the University.
