Religious Studies
The Religious Studies Program's Merger with The College of Education and Continuing Studies

STUDENT INFORMATION

Dear Religious Studies Student,

We are pleased that you are actively enrolled in the Hampton University online Religious Studies Program, and are diligently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree. As you are aware our program supports learning that is independent of time and location. Rather than gathering in a formal classroom setting, students and instructors interact online or offline by utilizing the internet.

The online bachelor degree program in Religious Studies, formerly part of the William R. Harvey Leadership Institute, has merged with The College of Education and Continuing Studies (CECS). For you as a student, this merger opens the door to some new possibilities, but it, also, will mean changes in some policies and procedures that will become effective Fall 2007.

All of the information outlined in the chart below provides live links to assist you in the understanding of and the adjusting to the new policies and practices for the Fall Session which begins August 6th.

Hopefully, the format in which the information is presented will facilitate your grasp of the kind of changes to be implemented. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me at linda.meadows@hamptonu.edu or by phone at 757-728-6776. Also available to address your inquiries is your academic advisor, Dr. William Booth, Director of Religious Studies.

Information regarding FAQ's is provided to make the policy and procedural changes more accessible and more understandable.
