Thank you for considering Hampton University's Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies degree program. Hampton University is an academic institution offering a comprehensive education, dedicated to the promotion of learning, the building of character, and the preparing of its students for positions of leadership and service. Whether you have answered the call to ordained ministry or are preparing for leadership as a lay professional in the church or simply are desirous of having a better grasp of the religious experience, the Religious Studies Program, a Department of The College of Continuing Education, welcomes partnering with you in your quest for greater knowledge and understanding.

Gifford, CAE, M.Div., Ph.D., Director of Theological Programs of the American Academy of Religion, The Luce Center, has given permission for HU's Religious Studies Program to share its website with its prospective students.

Gifted with an excellent faculty appropriating "cutting edge" technology allows for the delivery of courses through one of the most dynamic and progressive mediums available. The highly credentialed faculty is equipped to engage students in an unforgettable encounter with learning.

As an interdisciplinary academic discipline, the Religious Studies program is committed to the pursuit of a rigorous and systematic inquiry that honors intellectual integrity.
