If you are representing a school or organization and would like to bring a group of students to visit Hampton, please first read our guidelines on special groups:
Group tours cannot be scheduled online. Please complete
the
Group Request Form and mail the generated request
to the address below at least four (4) weeks in advance
of your scheduled tour. Submission of this online form
only acts as notification to this office and does not
reserve or guarantee your preferred tour date and time.
- Age: All student participants must be at least freshmen in high school. We do not have any formal programming for middle school and elementary school students. Elementary and Middle School students are welcomed to our campus; however, they should select an 11:30 a.m. or 3:30 p.m. session where they will receive a walking tour only.
- Size: The maximum size of each group is 55 visitors, (i.e. a group with 75 visitors is considered TWO GROUPS.)
- Time: Group tours are only available
Monday through Friday, we do not offer information sessions
and tours on the weekend for groups. The available time
for group tours is limited, so please make your request
as early as possible to ensure we have availability. If
you are planning a group visit during March, April,
June, or July, please note that special group accommodations
may be limited as there will be a high volume of visitors. Group
tours will begin Monday, September 19, 2011 for the
2011 - 2012 academic year.
For each group, there is a $40 reservation fee
per bus. Complete the Group
Request Form and mail the generated request and registration
fee to:
Hampton University
Office of Admission
ATTN: Group Tours
Hampton, VA 23668

Only forms received via the mail within the four-week time frame
will be processed. Your tour is scheduled upon receipt of this form and
the $40 (per bus) reservation fee. Group tours will receive
an electronic confirmation within two(2) weeks.
All request forms must be submitted at least four weeks prior to the expected visit date. We are not able to process group tour requests not received within the four week window.
