Description
The Center for Information Technology (CIT)/ERP Sr. Programmer supports Senior Developers and Engineers with application development support in an Oracle/Linux environment in SQLPLUS, PL/SQL, SQLLoader, Pro *C, Java, JavaScript, HTML, Groovy/Grails, Argos, Web Programming for Self Service Banner (SSB) components, and/or other Object-Oriented Programming support related to the Banner Student Information System. The successful candidate will have wide-ranging development experience in application development using current, industry-standard technologies. This role requires a seasoned individual with proficient communication and people skills coupled with a technical understanding the software development lifecycle to work with the technical staff and functional/business community.
Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as a senior developer and assist with analysis and application development for Banner modules in support of all approved HU reports, processes, and interfaces

Leverage background and experience to use configuration control and application development tools such as Jira, SVN, GIT, IntelliJ, NetBeans, etc. to perform development requirements

Serve as a senior developer and assist with application development and interface support for University supported student related systems (e.g., CRM Recruit, Starrez, Degree Works, ePayment Gateway, Touchnet, etc.)

Perform other professional duties and special projects as directed
Qualifications
- BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent. May substitute the equivalent in a combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
- Two (2) years of experience in design, development, and deployment of Web Applications or two (2) years of experience in design, development, and deployment of Oracle/Linux solutions
- Two (2) years of experience in system development life cycle (SDLC) execution including planning, system analysis, system design, implementation, integration and testing, deployment
- Knowledge of application development concepts with hands-on application technical experience
- In-depth attention to detail and analytical ability
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to both non-technical and technical audiences
- Strong ability to interact and serve as a key member of a team
- Ability to troubleshoot software development issues and act appropriately to efficiently resolve the issues in a timely fashion

Proficient developing applications following industry best practices and design patterns
