Description
Hampton University is currently seeking experienced and qualified part-time Bus Drivers for the Hampton University’s Health Mobile.
*This is a grant-funded position. Continuation of the position is contingent upon the continuation of related grant funding.
Duties and Responsibilities

Operate and safely drive Hampton University Health Mobile unit (up to 41 feet)

Inspect the Health Mobile: prior and post trips
-
Schedule maintenance and repair of mobile unit, e.g. oil changes, fuel check, fluid checks etc. and maintain event equipment (tables, awnings, banners, televisions)

Maintain all DOT and vehicle logs as required by law and all University documents
-
Actively document and report any malfunctions/accidents on an as needed basis
-
Perform related work as required.

Other duties as assigned
Requirements
-
Must be able to make weeklong trips including overnights.

Must be able to physically lift 20lbs.
Qualifications
-
High School Diploma/GED
-
Good Interpersonal and communication skills
-
Two or more years of verifiable experience driving vehicle with a gross weight of 23,000 lbs. or more (such as a bus, RV, or delivery vehicle)

Acceptable driving record
-
Must have a CDL license with air brake endorsement.
