Description

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing a wide range of clerical and administrative duties to support the General Manager, Office Manager and local management team and staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support Office Manager and local unit management with their clerical and/or administrative needs

  • Receive and greet customers, guests, etc.

  • Ensure office is maintained in an orderly, professional manner

  • Sort and distribute communications in a timely manner

  • Create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information

  • This position serves as the unit safety coordinator, and supports the General Manager with overall safety training, record-keeping and execution

  • Maintain trusting relationships with suppliers, customers and colleagues

  • Perform “other” job related duties as assigned by management to achieve the established goals of the food service department and campus community

  • Assist with daily and weekly reporting, deposits, and audits

  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an office setting

  • Knowledge of “back-office” computer systems and/or software

  • Ability to pass ServSafe, TIPS, and other food safety, alcohol safety and/or overall safety training classes

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office
