Description
The utility worker is responsible for managing general cleanliness and maintenance duties at the premises of the organization. As a utility worker, you should get all cleanliness tasks assigned either inside or outside the property.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for organized storage of dishes, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, utensils, etc. in appropriate areas;
- Responsible for maintaining the sanitation of utility areas and equipment;
- Responsible for keeping soiled dish area organized and clean between meals and at the end of the day;
- Responsible for reporting all breakage to management; Responsible for proper use of dish machine
- Responsible for washing dirty pots and pans in pot sink and pot washer;
- Responsible to wipe down and sanitize all metal surfaces in dish room/pot room at the end of the day;
- Responsible for sweeping and mopping floors between meals and at the end of the day; also when asked by management;
- Perform “other” job related duties as assigned by management which achieve the established goals of the company, campus, and the clients.
- Maintain the organization of all chemical and cleaning supplies; including the proper storage of mops, brooms, etc.
- Practice safe work habits to avoid injury to self and others.
Requirements
- They require excellent customer service skills.
- They can follow safety procedures and guidelines.
- They can effectively sanitize the unit.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
