The School of Nursing at Hampton University invites applicants for the position of Home Healthcare Professionals Program: Certified Nurse Aide Program Secretary/Student Records Clerk. The Secretary/Student Records Clerk is responsible for maintaining all student and program records.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Certified Nurse Aide Program Secretary/Student Records Clerk is responsible for the development and maintain an individual record of major skills taught and the date of performance by the student. At the completion of the nurse aide education program, the Program Records Clerk shall provide each nurse aide with a copy of the skills record and a certificate of completion from the program, which includes the name of the program, the board approval number, date of program completion, and the signature of the primary instructor or program coordinator. The Secretary/Student Records Clerk will maintain a record of the graduates' performance on the state-approved nurse aide certification examination (the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program or NNAAP). The Secretary/Student Records Clerk will also maintain a record that documents the disposition of complaints against the program.


The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, telephone etiquette, communication, and customer services skills. The applicant must possess knowledge of Microsoft Office and other database applications. The successful candidate must be punctual, a self-starter, and able to work well independently and with others. The candidate must be professional at all times with excellent time management and organizational skills
