Description
This position is responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of waterpiping systems, all plumbing fixtures following recognized procedures andtechniques of the trade.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace pipes, fittings and fixtures to maintain heating, gas, and plumbing systems.
- Repair or replace damaged fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers andbathtubs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements
- High school graduate with at least two years of mechanical/technical school.
- Journeyman License desired.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of plumbing piping systems and maintenance.
- Knowledge of current state and city plumbing codes.
- Skilled in the use of mathematics and the ability to read blueprints, shopdrawings and diagrams.
- Skilled in the installation of copper, steel, glass and plastic piping.
