Description
To supervise and monitor General Accounting staff. Review all work (as indicated below) to ensure it is completed timely and accurately according with the generally accepted accounting practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and review the work of five Staff Accountants. Ensure the annual budget process tasks are performed accurately and timely. Review Budget transfers and waivers, travel advances and travel reimbursement reports for accuracy. Ensure endowment accounts are reconciled and reported accurately. Ensure daily cash bag receipts are posted to the general ledger. Ensure all banks, ADS gifts and clearing account are reconciled. Review journal entries for accuracy. Ensure Utility invoices are logged and submitted to Accounts Payable for payment. Assist team with posting local (inter-departmental) purchase orders. Assist staff members in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly reports. Provide regularly feedback to staff and prepare annual evaluations.
Other duties as assigned by the Chief Accountant, Associate Comptroller and Assistant Vice President for Business Affairs and Comptroller.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from four-year college or university with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience with supervisory responsibilities
