Description

The responsibility of this person is to type all daily correspondence for the Registrar, maintain office files, and provide general office management of personnel, such a vacation and sick leave, overtime, complete forms for temporary hire, oversee student workers, verify and type various athlete certifications. This person will also interact with staff on behalf of the Registrar by passing by passing down assigned duties, answer the phone and inquiries for the Registrar, maintain the inventory, and keep track of all requisitions and quarterly assignment of the budget. Record all meetings and projects and keep the Registrar informed of any changes. This person will also assist with the smooth operations of the office, registration, graduation and other duties as assigned by the Registrar.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Type daily correspondences for Registrar

  2. Complete monthly Clearinghouse reports.

  3. Process requisitions for office.

  4. Record meeting minutes

  5. Oversee student workers

  6. Verify and type athletic certifications

  7. Keep track of quarterly assignments.

  8. Manage office leave forms

  9. Assist with registration

Requirements

· Ability to efficiently operate a personal computer and various types of office equipment and standard computer software packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

· Possess a professional manner, effective written and oral communication skills, the ability to manage undergraduates, and demonstrated commitment to work with students from low-income, first-generation college backgrounds and students with disabilities.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.

· Ability to detect and correct grammatical and spelling errors in written correspondence.

· Ability to maintain files accurately, in paper and in software programs.

· Ability to accurately prepare records and reports.

· Ability to perform multiple responsibilities simultaneously, to work in a self-directed environment, and to plan and organize on both a daily and long-term basis.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess a high school diploma; have a minimum of three years of clerical experience, to include impeccable record keeping, accounting and organizational skills.
