There are three primary committees with subcommittees under each:
- Executive/Advisory: This committee consists
of officers, past, present and notable alumni who will guide and
direct the Chapter’s activities on a monthly basis. They will
be responsible for the Chapter’s financial health and linkage
to the University through active participation in the regional
and national committees. The subcommittees
are:
- Leadership (President and Advisory)
- Financial (Treasurer’s Report)
- Meeting Minutes (Recording Secretary)
- Membership Roster (Corresponding Secretary)
- Time & Place
- Alumni Giving
- Alumni Development: This committee has the responsibility
to recruit, mentor, and retain membership in the Chapter. The subcommittees
are:
- Pre-Alumni
- Membership Events (social, professional, educational)
- Remembrance
- Community/Affinity Outreach: This committee
has the responsibility to support other organizations within the
community, e.g. schools, churches, other alumni groups, sororities,
fraternities, UNCF, etc, and coordinate fundraising events for the
Chapter. The subcommittees are:
- Newsletter/Website
- Student Recruitment (college fairs)
- Scholarship (application process)
- Fundraising (choir concert, etc.)
